Beginner Floral Embroidery Pattern

Free Floral Embroidery Pattern for Beginners. Home is Wherever I'm With You DIY home decor. DIY hoop art decor. Beautiful free embroidery pattern download, suitable for beginners. Make this gorgeous embroidery with this simple DIY tutorial.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. It’s funny to look back at those fresh faced younglings we used to be, full of anticipation for what the future held. Well 10 years later, and many adventures later, we may look a little more tired and haggard than we used to but I’m happy to say that he’s still the one I want to do all my adventures with. I’m not me without him and in all the places we’ve lived, the homes and in-between homes, home is always wherever I’m with him! Ok, super sappy portion of this post over. On to the good stuff! I had so much fun designing this floral embroidery pattern and stitching it up for our home that I’m giving the pattern away to you for free!

I just love this quote. And I suspect I’m not the only one. It’s such a beautiful sentiment and I think it really resonates with people. It helps remind us that home is a person, it’s relationship and connection, it’s not a material place.

I think this pattern is suitable for beginners. There are several stitch types in it, but nothing too complicated. I didn’t do up a stitch guide, so if you don’t know how to do a particular stitch you may have to look it up.

If you make this floral embroidery pattern I would absolutely loooove to see it! You can tag me @yellow_birdhouse on Instagram, or shoot me an email. It seriously makes my day when people make the stuff I’ve designed! I do a little happy dance and scream at my husband about it. Lol!

Amidst the total chaos that is my life right now I still managed to create one last crafty thing before we packed up and moved out of our old house. As I’m writing this, we are between homes since our new house won’t be ready for a couple more weeks. It’s been a tough transition for the kids, but we are all very excited about the new house!

As a point of interest, this is my 100th blog post! I’m amazed and grateful at how far this little blog has taken me, and I have so much bloggy goodness planned for the months to come!

Ok let’s craft!

I had these great cotton flannel fabrics from Stacked Fabric Company and they were just calling out to be made into Christmas goodie bags!

These little reusable Christmas gift bags are ideal for stuffing with a few sachets of tea, some homemade treats and a little note. Awesome as teacher gifts or re-usable advent calendar pouches or even to fancy-up a gift card. Honestly these little bags with be so handy this Christmas, I intend to make quite a few more!

I remember one Halloween when I was about 8 or 9, I emptied an entire box of kleenex to make as many tiny tissue ghosts as I could. I think I even hung them out in our big apple tree. Unfortunately they didn’t make much of an impact once it was dark out. But we didn’t have Pinterest back then to give us loads of clever ideas! My 9 year old self thanks me for this fun round up of easy DIY Halloween decorations for kids to make. She also wishes Pinterest had been invented sooner. 😀

The new house will have 1 full bath and 2 half baths. I know, I feel like an entitled queen in her palace of multiple bathrooms! But I’m tired of making do with one tiny single bathroom and it’s time we had a selection of bathrooms that works for our family and guests!

But multiple bathrooms means multitudes of towels. And since we are spending every penny on building the house, we need to be careful about all our other spending. Including the non-existent towel budget. It’s a “make it do, or do without” scenario. (I can’t wait to show you my next frugal project for the house, it’s a good one!)
