This is gonna be a short and sweet little DIY post for these Lego Valentines. There’s really not much to it!
These Lego Valentines can easily be repurposed as birthday party favours too.
I like the non candy aspect of this Valentine. I’m not a huge fan of my kids coming home with Valentines covered in hard candies or lollipops. (Chocolate I don’t mind, but lollipops make my kids a little nutty!) So it makes me more careful of what I send to school in return.
Plus in these covid times it seems like food-stuffs are a no-go for bringing to school. So I think it’s safer to stick with non-food Valentines. ๐
But if sugar isn’t an issue, you can also get fun lego candies to use instead of real Lego pieces if you’d like.
Lego Valentine for Kids
All you need for this DIY Lego Valentine are some little cello or zip lock bags (check the craft section at your local Dollar Store), an assortment of Lego pieces and the printed Valentine.
It’s seems to print the best at 98% rather than 100%.
I kept it really simple and just printed the card on regular white printer paper.
You could also use coloured paper or cardstock if you wanted.
The text and lego man are hollow so your kiddos could also personalize the Valentine with a little colouring.
These classic boxes of Lego have a great assortment of pieces and are affordable if you don’t happen to have extra Legos lying around to give away.
I put a mini-figure and a few other pieces in each bag.
Cut along the dotted lines of the free printable Lego valentine and fold the cards in half.
Have your kiddo fill out the names on each card, then staple (or tape) the card over the bag to seal.
Done. So easy!
I’m not sure how I ended up with such malicious looking group of mini-figures though! Hahaha
