Cross stitching is so relaxing, I wish I made the time to do more of it. To be honest though, I love the first pattern in this list so much, I might be making it tonight! And the little bee too. And the tiny envelope. Oh gosh, now I’ve done it. More ideas for my WIP pile!
I’m still trying to finish up this year’s DIY Valentine’s cards for the boys’ classmates! I’ve got 20 finished so far, only 30 cards left to go…
Do you have any Valentine’s projects on the go yet?
Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to let the people in your life know that you love them. Friends, distant cousins, your parents, a lonely neighbour, literally everyone likes to know that they are loved and in someone’s thoughts. So use this Hallmark holiday to your advantage, craft up a special card and cross stitch and mail it to someone. All it will cost you is the price of the stamp, and you might really make someone’s day!

1. Koala
This little guy is the cutest! I think I might stitch him up and glue it to a homemade Valentine card for someone special!
2. Buffalo Plaid Heart
I think this is such an interesting twist on a classic heart. I’m not crazy about this colour scheme, but the design is great!
3. Little Love Envelope
This little envelope would be so quick to make. It would be so cute turned into a little brooch!
4. I Heart U
Another pattern that would be finished in no time at all! And framed in a small embroidery hoop like this, it would make the sweetest gift for a kiddo you adore.
5. Love Camper
Maybe I’d be more interested in camping if I had an adorable pink camper like this one!
6. Hearts & Rainbows
This is a set of 6 boho rainbow and heart free cross stitch patterns. You could stitch up an entire gallery wall with these designs!
7. Tiny Ombre Hearts
These tiny hearts would be lovely stitched on a throw pillow.
8. All You Need Is Love
I mean, I would argue that all you need is love AND tacos. But to each their own! ๐
9. Tea Cup
This tiny tea cup would be great for a bookmark. Maybe 3 or 4 stacked on top of each other in different colours?
10. Let’s Stay Home
Ok so this is not technically a Valentine themed design, but I think the sentiment is shared by many. (Fellow introverts, amirite?) I’d much rather have a cozy night in than brave the crowds and fuss of going out.
11. You & Me
Love is a puzzle, and so is this pattern!
12. Little Hedgehogs
Hedgehogs in love!
13. Love Letter
Another adorable envelope design.
14. Heart Arrows
What an original way to display and use cross stitch! Wearable art is so cool!
15. Love Bee
Again, not a traditional Valentine design, but it has hearts on it and who doesn’t love a cute buzzy bee?
16. Black Cats
There’s an english version of these classy cats as well.
17. Cupcake
Basically if there’s a heart on it, it counts as Valentine’s Day decor, right?!
18. You and Me
This one’s for the grammar nerds! lol
I hope you found at least one or two of these free cross stitch patterns suitable for your Valentine’s Day crafting needs!
I’m off to make the koala, he’s just too cute!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
